What's going on at the Church-
Christmas Services
Rev. Charles Hall and the members of the First Congregational Church of Barkhamsted invite you to attend any or all of the following services planned for the 2011 Christmas season:
Sunday, December 18
Christmas pageant during the 10 a.m. Sunday service. Children and adults take part in portraying the story of the birth of Christ. A fun time for all.
Saturday, December 24
Christmas eve candlelight service featuring carols, short readings and an inspirational message. Why don't you join us for this enjoyable service? Starts at 7:00 p.m. and lasts about an hour.
Sunday, December 25
Christmas day service. Christmas on a Sunday! Celebrate the birth of the Christ child. This service starts at 10 a.m. You can open those presents later.
Cake, Coffe and Carols
On November 27, 2011, the church had our Cake, Coffee and Carols event. We had over 50 people attend. Everyone had a wonderful time singing carols and finishing up with coffee and cake downstairs.
The event was free, but many generously donated or purchased raffle tickets in support of the "organ fund". The church is purchasing an organ to replace the current one which has seen better days.
Regular Events:
l Pot Luck Suppers
Pot luck suppers are held at the Church on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. (except in the summer, when we skip the months of July, August and September). Bring a dish to share. All are welcome.
Our next pot luck supper is on Wednesday, December 14 at 6:00.

Food Bank Collection
The Church collects non-perishable food items for an area food bank. Drop off your donations at the Church before or just after the Sunday service- the box is located just inside the main entrance and there's another box downstairs in Fellowship Hall.
